While we invite you to explore ALL of our activities, below is a description of each Activity category and soon we will list a list of the activities that are most relevant to the 2007 program. Printable pages will also be available in mid December.

There are four categories for activities that you can do with your students before and/or after the show. We will be listing the 2007 recommendations in mid December, so stay tuned!

THINKING AND TALKING (and writing!)- discussion topics on related curriculum topics, including science, literature, history, dance, cultural perspectives, and identity.

Cultural Appreciation - Learning to appreciate similarities and differences between people and cultures.

Climb your Family Tree - Discover the geography of your family tree, and find out what dance traditions you might have in your roots.

Why and How We Dance - An exploration of human reasons to dance.

MOVEMENT AND MUSIC - This category contains musical instrument information pages, plus several movement and dance activities for your classroom.

Music is Math – Kathak clock - A bridge between mathematics and music, through rhythm cycles from India.

Body Language - Give your students a chance to experiment with how our bodies and faces reveal our feelings, thoughts and ideas.

Crossing Paths - Explore how our planned movements are influenced by the people around us.
