AmaraAmara Tabor-Smith is an actress and dancer who began performing in the Bay Area almost 20 years ago. She has worked with the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Make-A-Circus, and toured schools performing folktales with The World of Tales. As a dancer, she has worked with local choreographers such as Ed Mock, Priscilla Regalado, Pearl Ubungen and most recently was a member of The Urban Bush Women Dance Company in New York City. Also an accomplished Capoeirista, Amara has been studying Capoeira for the last 12 years with well known masters in San Francisco, New York, and Brazil.
