Danny
Giray–Narrator
Daniel Giray
is a touring Artist-in-Schools for Wolf Trap Foundation for
the Performing Arts, teaching workshops for pre-school teachers.
He is the Artistic Director of the Young Extensions Children's
Dance Theatre, and teaches at the outreach program of the Zohar
School of Dance in Palo Alto, California where he is currently
the California Arts Council's Artist-in-Residence. He is perhaps
better known to children as "Danny G" from his former children's
dance and movement show entitled "Danny G's Incredible Learning
Fun Times." His background includes training in jazz, modern,
ballet, musical theater, and children's dance therapy.
Daniel has
performed traditional Southern Philippine dance and music to
audiences nationwide. He is a member of the international touring
Mindinao Kulintang Ensemble and now leads the new Kulintang
Dance Theatre as Musician/Dancer & Choreographer based in
the Bay area. Daniel has taught at S.F. State and in the "Dance
in Schools" program of the San Francisco Ballet. This is the
third year he has been the narrator for People Like Me.
