Founded in 2011 by Tokushima Kenjin-Kai, the members of SF Awakko Ren came together as a group for people who love to dance Awa-Odori. SF Awakko-Renís focus is Awa-Odori, a traditional dance from Tokushima Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, Japan. Awa-Odori is one of the biggest dance festivals in Japan Ė celebrated in the streets of Tokushima City every August for over 400 years. The dance is driven by the beat of the Kane bell and Taiko Drum. A shinobue flute and shamisen lute will provide lyrical composition for the audience to enjoy.
